Matt Adams

Group Editor Herts and Cambs

A highly experienced editor and journalist with a career spanning over 25 years in the regional press and media industry. Matt has also worked with national media, speaking on primetime television as a commentator on current affairs, including a recent appearance on a Newsnight panel ahead of the General Election.
He has extensive experience in public speaking, including hosting ceremonies for business and community awards, and delivering presentations to local business leaders and community organisations, advising them on their media strategies through seminars and lectures.
Being a director on the board of St Albans Chamber of Commerce has given him the opportunity to work closely with many district business leaders and build on his reputation as both a respected member of the professional community and a local influencer.
He regularly liaises closely with senior political figures, including MPs and council leaders, and has overseen major stories including the development of the district Local Plan, the fight against the Park Street strategic rail depot, and the regeneration efforts in the wake of the St Albans sinkhole.
Matt is a passionate, dedicated and trusted figure within the county, and proud to be considered to represent the voice of the community without prejudice or bias. His opinions and advice are sought by everyone from mayors and council leaders to headteachers and CEOs, and this is evidence of the reputation he has nurtured over time.
