Hitchin Liberal Democrats are alarmed at the story in last week's Comet regarding the possibility of development on Windmill Hill.
This is one of the most important landscapes in Hitchin and to suggest developers may be trying to alter it should be worrying to everyone in the town. I hope that if any inappropriate proposal is submitted that local residents will ensure their voices of objection are heard. Quite apart from the landscape issue, the access to this site is narrow and runs along a footpath leading to a local secondary school. Any increase in traffic along this access could put children at risk.
