Rail travellers using the East Coast Main Line service on Thursday are being warned they could face severe delays and a revised serviced because of the cold weather and snow.
The main problem for travellers heading for Scotland from Comet country by train is that the service between Perth and Inverness is suspended due to severe weather conditions and a derailed freight train at Carrbridge.
There are also problems between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh due to poor weather conditions and delays between York and Darlington and Berwick-upon-Tweed.
