For the benefit of your readers, I will reiterate the objection of the entire village of Broom and Stanford.
Tarmac is proposing to open another huge quarry to the south of Broom bringing in more dust and cement into the air and 188 HGVs a day on the B658 which will bring danger and traffic to this very narrow road. This will destroy all the walks, and wildlife and the water table must suffer because it will mean that in this small area there will be three large quarries and Broom will be entirely surrounded by them.
We have had quarries for 11 years, and there are 44 others sites to pick from.
Give our village a rest.
