The underpass which leads from the Stevenage museum into the town centre remained flooded for a number of days last week during the recent heavy downpour.
Pedestrians were forced to take alternative routes without even a warning of the problem on their approach.
Surely if the council can waste money on a canopy that ensures we all get wet in the middle of the town centre it can find funding to ensure at least some of us do not have to paddle through water on the way there and back.

* The Town Centre Park Place underpass fiasco. It is disgraceful that nothing has been done to this underpass for years.
It is terrifying to watch adults and children crossing the very busy road.

This underpass should be closed until it is safe to the public all of the time.
