Seeing that Stevenage Borough Council has not spared any expense at installing speed-humps throughout Stevenage over recent years, why don't they install them in Rectory Lane? Or would the local residents get the hump over this as well? If they want the road closed off to through-traffic then they should be prepared to pay for all future road maintenance themselves.
