SIR - My friend and I would like to thank Letchworth Garden City Council for a most wonderful day out last Wednesday, August 6.
There were about 100 of us. We journeyed up to Norfolk to the lavender fields, where we were given a "beanfeast" of a buffet lunch which included poached salmon, meats, salads, etc followed by all kinds of cake with as much tea or coffee as you liked.
We then went on to Sandringham to visit the lovely house, gardens and museum. A quick cup of tea and journey home and it was all free of charge. Well done and many thanks to all concerned. I am sure that our fellow travellers all would feel the same.
