SIR - Do you think an article in your letter section would stop people driving down Burford Way and Swinburne Avenue at way above the 30 mile speed limit?
I would say that three out of five cars do this. As a driver of many years, I would say they do anything between 40 and 50mph.
Recently a cat was hit and run over. Two weeks ago it was a hedgehog. How long before a child or an elderly person is killed?
Cars are often parked on both sides of the road and if a child, etc stepped out or rode out on a bicycle, they would not stand a chance.
Why don't the police put up speed bumps, or speed cameras.
I will hazard a guess, it will not be long before someone is injured.
Also, every evening, we have four or five scooters around 10pm who hurtle up and down these roads.
