SIR - I would like to ask the many teachers and schools who seem to promote the imported celebration of Halloween, what exactly is the point?
What exactly does this teach the youngsters under your control, trick or treat or is it give me something or else? For 50 weeks of the year you are discouraging bullies in the playground, yet for two weeks you are promoting the basic stance of the bully, give me the sweets or else.
Is it any wonder that bullying in schools has never gone away, if you are teaching them how to do it! Before someone says the Americans have done it for years and it has never hurt anyone, all I can say is hand over your weapons of mass destruction - or else!
