Stevenage, like many other towns has a growing problem with youth crime, there seems to be a simple answer to my mind that if properly managed and funded could make this town stand out as a model for the rest of the country.

Stevenage needs a more active child/teenager leisure industry to cut the crime problem.

Kids are full of natural energy and need an outlet, if they had affordable facilities such as a water park for all seasons with open/shut dome roof, roller blade areas and a child related assault course (age related), climbing frames, etc., we would have a lot of healthier and happier young people.

There must be a certain amount of wealthy people who live in Hertfordshire, this would be a golden opportunity for them to invest in the future.

Stevenage is a big town and growing all the time, we have enough retail outlets, let us give the community something to do and get them off the streets, the drugs and the booze.

I fear for my grandchildren and all youngsters but can understand their frustration.
