PROUDLY wearing their polished medals reflecting battles assigned to history of World War II and other conflicts, men and women who served their country gathered with the younger generation to pay homage on Sunday to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for peace.
Remembrance Sunday was observed with prayers and the laying of poppy wreaths at war memorials in towns and villages throughout Comet country on an overcast and cold morning followed by services at churches.
