This week our Swiss au pair made the mistake of parking at the leisure park and using shops in the town centre before going to the cinema to check showing details.
She returned to a clamped car and a release fine of £130. The small print does indeed confirm that patrons must not leave the leisure park and I see that the fine is due. However, having been regular users of Stevenage town centre shopping, leisure park facilities, out of town shopping areas and restaurants every week for the last seven years the scale of the fine leaves such a bitter taste that I shall not do so in future. Is my view unreasonable?
