SIR - My wife recently died from cancer. In life we seem to be able to moan about things going wrong, but never get to thank people around for their help. I think that my faith in human nature has been somewhat restored after my tragic loss, our doctor, Dr Thomas, was as free with her time and effort to comfort my wife. The nurses were on hand at the drop of a hat, all my neighbours were always willing to help and comfort, then my wife was taken into Lister Hospital and the nurses and doctors on Ward 8B were wonderful, especially the little Irish nurse who my wife called her little angel, my thanks and gratitude to everyone who took the time and effort to see my wife through her last traumatic weeks.
Many thanks to you all.
