SIR - I refer to a statement in The Comet's letters page of April 5 made by Chris Harlow.
As Vice-Chairman of Letchworth GC Council, is he not fully aware that the Community Charge (or Poll Tax as it was better known) ceased to exist with effect from April 1, 2003, when it was replaced, of course, by the Council Tax. Shame on you for feeling the need to quickly correct someone's mistake by himself then quoting an out of date fact!!
