Following your article in The Comet last week, I would like these questions answered regarding health care in Stevenage.

1) If the PCT are referring fewer patients to the Hospital Trust, where are these patients to go for medical care?

2) If hospital beds are reduced, where will they be nursed? If at home with intermediate care, who will fund this?

3) With the new development of a residential and health care centre, is this to be a prototype for future health care in Stevenage?

4) Not all residents were able to visit the exhibition last week, so can we be told the kind of residential care which will be available? With the introduction of these centres, will this mean the downgrading of the hospital?

5) We have so many departments for our health it can be very confusing with The Strategic Health Authority, PCT and the Hospital Trust. A meeting with the residents to explain fully the impact of the implementation of the ideas is long overdue.
