COMPETITION: Win an iPad mini and AcoustiCards
WIN an iPad mini AND 10 Christmas AcoustiCards to give friends and family some musical festive cheer. Two runners-up will also win five professionally produced, personalised Christmas AcoustiCards.
CHRISTMAS cards might be top of the to-do list in December, but often cards are still unsent as Christmas Day approaches. With AcoustiCards you can make and send unique musical Christmas greetings to friends and family around the world in just a couple of minutes, even when it’s too late for the post. The FREE app is available for iPhone, iPad and now the iPad mini, and AcoustiCards can be received by anyone with an internet connection, by text or email.
And we have a fantastic iPad mini and 10 AcoustiCards to give away to our competition winner, with two runners-up each receiving five AcoustiCards.
THE iPad mini, released in the autumn, features a stunning 7.9-inch multi-touch display, FaceTime HD and 5-megapixel iSight cameras. Plus, there’s ultra-fast wireless performance and an incredible 10 hours of battery life.
Apple has dubbed it “every inch an iPad, yet in a revolutionary design you can hold in one hand”. And, with all its features including thousands of amazing apps – such as AcoustiCards – there are many with this on their list this Christmas.

AcoustiCards offers a choice of Christmas songs as well as greetings for other occasions, with each song completely personalised. Users can include the recipient’s name along with several descriptions chosen from hundreds, ranging from the personal (‘feeling arty’; ‘wearing purple’) to the very personal (‘on the sherry; ‘rather hairy’) via the strictly seasonal (‘singing carols’, ‘flaming puddings’) and the slightly mixed-up (‘wrapping parsnips’? Perhaps if you’ve been ‘on the sherry’!)

The AcoustiCards app has been developed by award-winning Hertfordshire-based radio producer, Paul Arnold. He was facing some tough times 12 months ago when he decided to throw his money and energy into creating a unique personalised musical greetings app. Paul brought his skills in audio production, music and interactive projects together to create AcoustiCards, an app that seamlessly mixes hundreds of options into its songs.
Paul says: “Having an idea for an app, is in many ways, the modern equivalent of having an unfinished novel in a drawer somewhere. Now the idea has come to life, and to see the smile on people’s faces when they get to a line in the song that is perfect for them – that makes it all worthwhile.”
AcoustiCards is growing, and welcomes ideas for songs, or approaches from a singer or a band who would like to be involved. Please contact email@example.com To hear example cards, visit www.acousticards.com
