The North Hertfordshire Homes tenant-led Audit Team started a new review earlier this year, looking at the ways we help tenants and communities to develop.

As a social landlord it is not enough for North Hertfordshire Homes to provide a roof over a tenant’s head. Its role includes creating strong communities and helping people who are experiencing hard times to get back on their feet.

The team has already found a long list of services it provides including: training, back-to-work support, apprenticeships, financial advice, support for resident groups, school projects and youth activities.

The team will look at how much North Hertfordshire Homes spends on these services and whether it achieves good value for money. Soon they will hear how the development team considers tenants’ quality of life when it is planning and building new homes. The review findings will be useful when we come to update the neighbourhood and community strategy later this year.
