My boyfriend's car caught fire this morning in rush hour right outside Club 85 on Verulum Road. I just wanted to say a really big thank you to the guy who stopped with his fire extinguishers to help put the fire out. I am sure he stopped the car exploding as the fire brigade were on their way but not quite there. I thanked him but I didn't get his name and I hope he didn't burn his hand opening the bonet as a passer by said it looked burned. It's so nice to know that there are people who will help out in an emergency like that without a second thought. It's another example of how friendly Hitchin is and what a nice place it is to live in.
