I recall a reader complaining about cyclists going on the path, well may I express my opinion based on the fact 1) Hitchin has no cycle paths and 2) may I suggest that if car drivers did not ignore cyclists' hand signals and presence on the roads, we would not have to resort to going on the path.
I suggest one just go down the Bedford Road at 8.30 and see how a cyclist is expected to ride as is their right down the road when cars are pushing them off the road by placing themselves too near the kerb, and totally ignoring us around roundabouts.
