On March 31 at 5.50pm at the bus stop on Gresley Way/Woodcock junction, Stevenage, whilst walking my dog, I saw a young female about 15 smash a glass bottle in the road and run off.

This is where the deep ravine flows down to the fields. Seeing me she ran away and hid close by the bank, there was a male youth on the opposite bank, unconcerned as to what had occurred.

I recovered enough of a bottle of Russian Blue Vodka to place in the base of where a bin used to be! My disgust and angry comments probably did not register if she had been drinking. Anyone, and hopefully the parents of this girl and her companion, needs to remind them of the consequences of such an act.

Maybe one day, should they ever drive, or have children or dogs, they may be affected by broken glass on public roads or pavements.
