SIR - On behalf of the young people of the newly formed Sandy's Young Peoples Tuesday Youth Club, I would like to thank Sandy Town Council for their kind grant awarded of £2,000 to help set up the Youth Club and all supporters and volunteers.
A big thank you to the Biggleswade and Sandy Lions for the CD player for use by the Youth Club, and a big thank you to The Comet for its support for the new Youth Club. It is now busy raising funds for equipment.
A community raffle is being organised to raise funds, the aim is to raise £1,600 for equipment and for the Sandy branch of the Royal British Legion's Afghanistan Comfort Appeal, watch The Comet for details.
