The station in Letchworth has been a fiasco ever since I can remember. The stairs are a problem for children, prams, pensioners, and anyone carrying a suitcase.

I cannot understand what the council are thinking about in this regard.

I am 63 and grew up in Letchworth.

In that time even if there had been a fund started for a station lift we would have had thousands upon thousands of pounds.

It is now impossible for me to manage a case up those stairs.
