I would like to make a plea to all responsible dog owners. An incident occurred on Good Friday afternoon when two dogs entered a garden in a home in Ivel Way, which backs onto the fields near the woods and killed my pet cat. The owners of these dogs were at least half a mile back into the woods and therefore had no control over these dogs.

So, I ask you to please keep your dogs in sight and under control whilst out walking through the woods, especially if you know your dog is aggressive towards other animals or people.

We are devastated by what has happened and would not wish this to happen to anyone else. The incident could have been much worse: there could have been a child playing in the garden.
