I hope Stevenage Borough Council will not grant Bluebird Holdings planning permission for a hotel on the Manulife site. I feel we have enough hotels in the town already, and with housing such a premium surely some dwellings would be more helpful to the inhabitants of Stevenage.

I would suggest some three storey flats would not be an eyesore and with some careful garden planning would improve the appearance of that side of St Georges Way in line with the park and church.

Housing should be the priority.

Incidentally the artist's impression of the future design reminds me of a prison and is not at all attractive.
