Is there such a shortage of bricks in the country that a superb development next to Hitchin Sainsbury's has to be built only with concrete beams and wooden carcasses joined by flimsy partitions? Not a brick seems to be used except for a cosmetic four inches thick brick cladding on the outside wall.

Will such a building be safe and durable?
