Sick day

Last weekend I took my daughter to see the One Direction movie. It was exciting because being about half-way through a mid-life crisis, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to reawaken those emotions I used to have for Spandau Ballet and feel 13 again.

Date night

This Saturday is our wedding anniversary so we are going out for dinner and to do some dancing. Which is a lovely thing to do except it’s just going to be my husband and me.

It’s not fair

Last Saturday an amazing thing happened – I won £6 million on the National Lottery. Then promptly blew it all by taking three kids to the fair.

New Beginnings

NEXT Monday is a big turning point for me as a mother. My youngest is starting school.

Travelling with children

LAST year I spent the six weeks holidays at home with my children. Entertaining three kids from 7am to 7pm is not easy, especially when your other half takes off ONE day in the entire school break and all your friends and family members are mysteriously busy. So this year I vowed that we’d go away for two weeks and not only would my husband come, he’d also pay for it.

The summer of ‘13

I’M FOUR days into the summer holidays (27 left, excluding weekends, not that I’m counting) and I’ve had an epiphany. I have realised that no matter what I do with my children it’s never enough. I could give them 101 dalmatians and they would want 102.
