The green light has been given for an osteopath clinic to open in Stevenage High Street, in the building once home to Flair Fashions.

The owner of the building applied to Stevenage Borough Council to change the use of the premises from retail to medical or health services.

As the use of the premises will remain within Class E (commercial, business and service), a Certificate of Lawfulness for the change of use has now been approved by the council.

The owner of the building has said there will be no change to the shopfront, or any other external alterations, as part of the plans to open an osteopath clinic.

Flair Fashions, which first opened its doors in 1960, permanently closed in April last year, due to the owners' retirement.
