TICKETS for the 2012 Slam Dunk Festival at the University of Hertfordshire go on sale this morning (Friday).

The metal, emo, rock, punk and ska festival returns to the Hatfield-based university on Sunday, May 27 – two days after the annual uni summer ball.

Tickets go on sale from 9am today, with prices held from last year.

They cost £32.50 in advance and £36 with aftershow.

There will also be a free shuttle bus service from Hatfield train station to the Forum Hertfordshire on the College Lane campus.

Americans Taking Back Sunday will headline the main stage in a Slam Dunk UK festival exclusive with the band’s original line-up.

Also confirmed in the first SDF12 announcement on Wednesday for the duel-site festival in Leeds and Hatfield were Architects, Cancer Bats, The King Blues, Mayday Parade, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Audition, Every Time I Die, Set Your Goals and Make Do And Mend.
