WELSH group Funeral for a Friend have been confirmed as special guests for the 2012 Slam Dunk Festival taking place in Hatfield next month.
The post-hardcore band from Bridgend were announced for the rock, metal, punk, emo and ska festival last night (Tuesday) on satellite music channel Scuzz TV, which can be found on Sky 374 and Freesat 503.
On the band’s Twitter page, @FFAF, the group tweeted: “So we’re gonna be playing SlamDunk in May. Party time!”
After appearing at Leeds University the night before, Slam Dunk returns to the Forum Hertfordshire at the University of Hertfordshire on Sunday, May 27, with Taking Back Sunday the main stage headliners.
FFAF were one of the first groups to play the College Lane entertainment complex in Hatfield following its opening in the autumn of 2009.
“This year’s Slam Dunk is gonna be full on,” said vocalist Matt Davies-Kreye.
“We’re beyond excited for this, we’ve been itching to play since our last shows at the end of 2011 so be prepared for some in your face FFAF action!”
Another Slam Dunk 2012 line-up announcement is due later today (Wednesday).
