HOLLYWOOD pop-punks It Boys! will play next month’s 2012 Slam Dunk Festival at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield.
Hot off the back of debut UK single Guys Don’t Like Me, the edgy LA five-piece pop-punk band will be dropping by the Forum Hertfordshire on Sunday, May 27.
The group’s second single Burning Up, featuring Jeffree Star, will be released through EMI/Century Media Records the day after Slam Dunk in Hatfield.
Comprising Matt Cut (vocals), Jeff Oster (guitar), Tommy Coops (bass), Duck Leary (drums) and Judah Leary (guitars), the Americans can count the likes of Miley Cyrus, Rob Kardashian and Good Charlotte brothers Joel and Benji Madden among their celebrity fans.
Currently completing a monster run of dates in the US with Breathe Carolina and The Ready Set, It Boys! recently finished recording debut album Introduction, which is slated for an early June UK release, and are excited about their upcoming UK shows.
“It has been something we have talked about since the beginning of It Boys!” said lead singer Matt Cut.
“We recently got picked up by CAA as our overseas booking agency and we’re so thrilled to share a roster with One Direction, The Wanted, Taio Cruz and many more amazing pop artists.
“We can’t wait to make some new friends in the UK.”
Organically assembled in Los Angeles, It Boys! toured non-stop in 2011 with the likes of Jeffree Star, Dev and on the Vans Warped Tour.
