Tickets go on sale today for the new Cool Britannia music festival at Knebworth Park.

Running from Friday, August 31 to Sunday, September 2 at the Hertfordshire stately home, the festival will feature some of the best of British rock and dance music from the 1990s.

Cool Britannia’s main stage will be headlined by Step On stars Happy Mondays and Ocean Colour Scene.

Weekend adult camping tickets, allowing entry to the campsite and the festival on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, cost £135 plus booking fees.

Children’s camping tickets are £67.50, and entry to the festival is free for those aged three years and under.

A regular adult weekend ticket without camping is £107.50, and a child’s non-camping weekend ticket £53.75.

An adult one day ticket is £59.50 for the chosen day, and a child’s one day ticket for youngsters 12 years and under is £30.

VIP tickets, priced £125, allow entry to the VIP area on Saturday and Sunday. This does not include entry to the festival. A VIP ticket must be purchased in addition to a camping, weekend or day ticket.

As well as the headliners, the Cool Britannia line-up over the weekend also includes Embrace, The Lightning Seeds, Peter Hook & The Light, Cast, Heather Small, Dodgy, Space, The South and Toploader, with more acts still to be announced.

The music festival will also see the premiere of Britpop Classical, which will feature a full orchestra together with rock band and guest soloists, including The Farm’s Peter Hooton, Republica singer Saffron and Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory, with others to be announced.

They will be performing unique versions of Britpop classics.

The Ministry of Sound Big Top will feature some of the best club DJs of the ’90s era including Todd Terry, Brandon Block, Jazzie B, Dave Pearce, and Alfredo.

Each night there will be appearances by a host of club classic stars including Black Box, N-Trance, Rozalla, Alison Limerick, Angie Brown and Urban Cookie Collective.
