Organisers have announced the stage times for Knebworth’s new Cool Britannia Festival.

The music festival takes place at Knebworth Park for the first time from Friday, August 31 to Sunday, September 2 with main stage headline sets from Happy Mondays and Ocean Colour Scene over the weekend.

The Cool Britannia set times have now been confirmed for the Britpop celebration.

The premiere of Britpop Classical will open the main stage on Saturday at 2pm.

Britpop Classical will feature an orchestra together with rock band and guest soloists, including The Farm’s Peter Hooton, Republica’s Saffron and Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory performing unique versions of Britpop classics.

Peter Hooton will perform The Farm’s All Together Now, while Saffron is due to sing Republica’s Ready To Go.

Glenn Gregory is set to cover Pulp’s Common People and Quadrophenia star Phil Daniels will contribute Blur hit Parklife.

Dancing in the Moonlight hitmakers Toploader are next on stage at 3.10pm, with Good Enough band Dodgy following at 4.05pm.

Former Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook & The Light will perform from 5pm.

Three Lions band Lightning Seeds are down to play at 6.10pm with Feeder performing from 7.20pm.

Headliners Happy Mondays will close the main stage from 8.45pm.

On Sunday, The South will perform Beautiful South classics from 2pm.

Space are second on stage at 2.55pm, with M People singer Heather Small following at 3.50pm.

It’s time for Cast at 4.55pm and All You Good Good People, Nature’s Law and Gravity stars Embrace will return to the Knebworth stage at 6pm having held their own secret festival at the Hertfordshire stately home back in 2014.

Razorlight, who topped the UK singles charts with America, will play Knebworth from 7.25pm before Maxi Jazz of Faithless will perform a DJ set at 8.25pm.

Ocean Colour Scene, who supported Oasis at Knebworth House in the summer of 1996, will headline Cool Britannia on the Sunday from 9.05pm.

Cool Britannia has also teamed up with the legendary Ministry of Sound for dance music fans.

Housed in the Big Top, MoS will feature some of the best club DJs of the era including Todd Terry, Dave Pearce, Brandon Block, Jazzie B and Alfredo.

Each night there will also be appearances by a host of club classic stars including Black Box, N-Trance, Rozalla, Alison Limerick, Angie Brown and Urban Cookie Collective.
