Fourth consecutive cleansheet for Stevenage in St Neots Town goalless draw

A Stevenage XI played out a 0-0 draw away to Southern League Premier St Neots Town last night (Wednesday) in what was their second such result in two days.

Tuesday night had seen another Stevenage squad return from a trip to National League side Boreham Wood with the same result.

First teamers Ben Kennedy, Chris Day, Shaun Donnelian, Dipo Akinyemi, Jake Hyde, Dale Gorman and Ryan Johnson all featured at St Neots, who are managed by Stevenage Academy boss Robbie O’Keefe.

The encounter saw Boro’s fourth cleansheet from six pre-season games, they have netted 10 times in those matches.

Those to find the back of the net so far are: Andrew Fox, Hyde (two), a trialist, Charlie Lee, Kennedy, Jamie Gray, Tom Conlon, Matt Godden and Rowan Liburd.

Stevenage’s final pre-season game is this Saturday at home to MK Dons before the Sky Bet League Two campaign kicks-off a week Saturday (August 6) at home to Crewe Alexandra.
