Stevenage boss Darren Sarll is desperate for his side to finish the Sky Bet League Two season strongly.
Boro have 11 games left this term, with Sarll wanting his side to string together a run of results and have a positive end to the season.
He told CometSport: “It’s something that is always on my mind.
“The end of the season has sort of crept up on us all because we are yet to have that substantial run where we are able to pick up momentum.
“Those swings in momentum are sometimes in your control and sometimes they are out of your control.
“We are still striving to have that really good run.
“The lads that came in January have obviously helped and it’s taken a little time for them to become accustomed to our ways so we are still striving to do well.
“It’s certainly not going to be one of those seasons were anyone is allowed to peter out because we’ve still got so much to do.
“They’ll give it absolutely everything and it’s not for the want of trying.
“There’s too many of our lads who are trying to earn employment next year, like a lot of players in this division have to do year on year, and theirs is still a lot to do in try to develop and build the longevity of the squad.
Stevenage find themselves in 15th place in League Two, 15 points off the play-off places and 12 points above the relegation zone.
Despite have little to play for, Sarll is remaining focused on this campaign rather than looking forward to the next, again emphasising the important of a strong end to the season
“I’m not looking ahead to next season because we want to get this substantial run going to finish this season strongly,” he said.
“We can’t look too far ahead so we’ve got to be focused on beating Crewe and it’s all about the results and performances at this point.”
