Chuks Aneke has returned to Arsenal.

The young striker finished his loan spell at Boro at the weekend and returned to Arsenal where he featured in the reserve team’s 2-0 win over Chelsea on Monday.

Aneke originally signed a two-month loan deal with Stevenage in November with the Gunners hopeful that Boro would go on to make an offer of a permanent deal for the teenager. However, despite extending Aneke’s loan deal until mid-March Stevenage are thought to have dropped their interest in a permanent deal and the front man, who started two league games and came off the bench four times during his spell at Boro, has returned to his parent club.
