Shefford and Sandy ladies second team were triumphant at last at the weekend beating West Herts 3-0.

With only one point on the board and no wins this term Shefford ladies second team needed a little early Christmas miracle against West Herts Ladies.

After a vigorous warm-up and an insightful teamtalk Shefford took their positions on the pitch.

West Herts had a few forays into Shefford’s D but nothing too serious in the opening stages. Gradually Shefford took over possession.

Despite shots and short corners galore the crucial goal still eluded Shefford meaning the score was 0-0 at halftime.

The second period saw Shefford continue to dominate with West Herts finding it difficult to hold onto possession.

After a string of short corners Tia Alford converted and Shefford were now in the lead.

Alford was then on hand again to make it two as she hovered on the right post. Confidence was sky high for Shefford as S&S wrapped up a perfect match with goal number three that was a lifted shot over the keeper.
