There were two medals for Fairlands Valley Spartans at the British Masters Indoor Championship.

Grant Ramsay came out on top in a tactical battle between three to claim the silver in the 3000m for men 45 years or older.

And Tessa Stephenson took bronze in the women’s 55 plus 400m race.

She followed that up by coming fifth in the 200m while David Bowker was eighth in the men’s over 55 3000m.

Twelve Spartans took part in the Milton Keynes Festival of Running.

In the 25-miles event Ruth Reilly improved her personal best by 42 minutes when she finished in two hours 37 minutes three, while Erica Grayson ran her first ever 20 miler in 3:11:37.

Tom Sauka was the fastest Spartan with 2:27:40.

Karen Ellis ran the Paris Half Marathon in 2:23:39 and Maria Thorne clocked 2:30:53 while Todd Gray was fastest in the MK Half with 1:26:39, good enough for 47th.
