Reds to take on former Arsenal, Chelsea and Fulham players in a team assisted by Terry Venables
Langford have landed the plum tie in this year’s FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.
The Reds have been drawn away to Wembley FC, who in this year’s competition will have ex-England and Spurs manager Terry Venables as their technical adviser to manager Ian Bates.
In addition to having El Tel in the dugout there will be a number of other star names lining up for Wembley FC in this year’s competition as a group of ex-international players have decided to lace up their boots once more.
These are ex-Arsenal players David Seaman, Ray Parlour and Martin Keown, ex-Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux, ex-Fulham frontman Brian McBride and ex-Argentina international Claudio Caniggia.
The signings of the players by Wembley were secured with the support of sponsor Budweiser, the lead partner of this year’s competition.
The all-star line-up have already been coaching the Wembley squad over the past few months and are set to kick-off this year’s competition against Langford on August 11. The winners will receive £1,000 in prize money.
Elsewhere in the draw, Stotfold have been drawn to play away at Crawley Green.
