Hitchin Town have signed Charlie Smith on loan from Luton Town.

The 18-year-old Hatters midfielder has made two appearances for Luton this season, and was on the bench as the Skrill Premier side were beaten in the FA Trophy by Cambridge United last week.

Smith featured in a friendly against Baldock Town on Saturday and is likely to be in Hitchin’s squad for the visit of Stevenage tomorrow (Tuesday) night in the Herts Senior Cup.

Hitchin’s league game at Bashley has been re-arranged for Tuesday, March 11 at 7.45pm.
