Ickleford secured promotion from Division Two A of the Saracens Herts League with a six-wicket win over Watford.

After their openers put on 46, Watford lost four wickets for no addition to the total and crumbled to 99 all out.

Captain Matt Marsden led the way with 5-28, as Adam Nunn (2-19) and Dan Watson (2-20) gave support.

Jack Edwards (23) and Jon Hilliard put on 35 in reply, but Ickleford also fell to 46-4 before Matt Baxter (31 not out) and Nunn (22 not out) put on an unbroken 55.

Ickleford can seal the title if they win their last game and Knebworth Park lose.

The seconds saw Bentley Heath made 247-8, with Scot Crouch taking 3-13, but Sam Howard’s powerful 68, plus runs from Richard Brown (36), Duncan Jenner (38 not out) and Sam Giggle (32 not out) sealed a four-wicket win.

The thirds made 133-8 at Watford, as Ben Whelan (30) top scored, before Thomas Brown (4-16) and Rob Day (3-23) sealed a 10-run win.
