Stevenage have confirmed the exit of striker Dipo Akinyemi who has signed for Dulwich Hamlet on a permanent deal.

The 20-year-old moves to the Isthmian Premier Division side on a free transfer, with Boro receiving a ‘significant percentage of any future sale’.

Akinyemi joined Stevenage from Potters Bar Town back in 2014 and he was given a chance in the first-team during Teddy Sheringham’s reign as manager.

The striker made 16 appearances during his time at the Lamex, scoring one goal for the club in a 2-2 draw with Newport County.

However, he failed to make a single appearance under Darren Sarll and was sent on loan to a number of clubs, including Aldershot Town, Bishop Stortford and two spells at his new side Dulwich Hamlet.

He made his third debut for the club last night, scoring twice in a 3-1 win over Isthmian Premier league leaders and another of his former clubs, Billericay Town.
