Talented Stevenage starlet Ben Kennedy has signed a contract extension with the Lamex outift.

The U21 Northern Ireland international put pen to paper on a deal which will take him to 2020.

The exciting 20-year-old-wideman is nearing a century of appearances since his first team bow two years ago and has represented his country at U17, U19 and U21 level already.

Speaking to Stevenage FC chairman Phil Wallace said “Ben is settled and really happy here, so we are delighted to extend his contract another year.

“He is the first in a crop of exceptional youngsters we have coming through the system. Our bench regularly contains a majority of U21 players gaining First Team matchday experience and we have high hopes for several of them.”

Boro boss Darren Sarll indicated to CometSport Kennedy would be ‘short’ for Saturday’s game against Wycombe Wanderers but could be in contention for the trip to Exeter City on Saturday, December 16 after recovering fully from a minor operation.
