The cup-tie on Tuesday, August 28 at the Lamex saw Dino Maamria’s side rout the young Swans 5-0 with a hat-trick by Kurtis Guthrie and a brace by Ben Kennedy – but the club also scored off the pitch with excellent numbers.

The programme, which featured interactive video content, including filmed manager notes, saw more than 1,700 supporters download the online offering on the day of the game – compared to an attendance of only 470 at the Lamex.

The average read time was three mins 38 seconds with more than 65 per cent of the reads came from mobiles, with 25 per cent via laptops and 10 per cent from tablets.

Stevenage CEO, Alex Tunbridge hailed the digital version saying: “It was the first of its kind and the readership and engagement figures we have witnessed are really positive.

“We will now be looking to run a second edition for the next Checkatrade fixture against Charlton Athletic in October, where we will be seeking to offer our advertisers the opportunity to provide supporters with bespoke offers and promotions through the unique platform available.”
