Stevenage boss Dino Maamria claims he has ‘picked his side already’ ahead of their opening Checkatrade Trophy clash against Swansea U21’s at the Lamex Stadium.

The Tunisian has said he will make changes from his side, which lost 2-0 to Yeovil as Boro’s unbeaten league record disappeared at the weekend.

The Broadhall Way boss hopes the players he picks will impress ahead of their derby clash against Cambridge United on Saturday.

Swansea are expected to field a youthful side as their first team host Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup at the Liberty Stadium.

Stevenage will be looking to progress past the group stage for the first time in three years in the competition.

The Broadhall Way outfit are set to offer their first digital matchday programme against the team from the Championship.

Their online effort is believed to be the first of its type to be produced in the EFL.

Fans will be able to read up on the latest Boro news but also watch behind-the-scenes interviews with boss Dino Maamria and his players.

The club have stressed their experiment will only be trialled in Checkatrade Trophy with their matchday programme still printed for league games.

In the Swans edition, striker Alex Revell is interviewed.

The copy can be downloaded free of charge from the club’s website.
