Dino Maamria’s Stevenage hosted Portsmouth at the Lamex on Saturday afternoon. Read Layth Yousif’s report from Broadhall Way.

Kenny Jackett’s Portsmouth took an early lead at the Lamex against Stevenage after Gareth Evans slotted past new goalkeeper Paul Farman in the 19th minute.

Maamria’s Boro weren’t behind for long and levelled ten minutes later through Ben Kennedy.

The talented Northern Irish U20 international burst through after an Alex Revell knock-down before poking it past Pompey keeper Craig MacGillivray.

Boro made it 2-1 through starlet Andronicos Georgiou 11 minutes into the second half.

The highly-rated 18-year-old made it 3-1 with 20 minutes to go before Conor Chaplin pulled a goal back on 89 minutes for the vistors.
