Arlesey Town have appointed Rufus Brevett as the club’s new manager.

The former captain at Fulham and player at QPR and West Ham United has taken over from Zema Abbey, who left for St Neots Town last week.

Brevett will also be working on the ‘future overall development of the footballing side’ of the Blues, say the club, and has therefore also been made director of football.

Brevett joins Barry Hayles at Arlesey - the current Blues striker is a former Fulham team-mate of Brevett, having played alongside him for five years between 1998 and 2003.
