Met Police B. 168 (50.5 overs)
Letchworth II 171-7 (44.4)
SHCL Division Three
Letchworth II continued their winning streak, although they were run close by visitors Met Police Bushey before finally winning by three wickets.
The visitors totalled 168 all out, with Darren Curry taking 3-49, Dan Burley 3-51 and Dominic Marsh 4-51, before Letchworth’s strong batting line up was reduced to 75-5.
However a fine innings of 65* by Navin Seneviratne, who was helped in a stand of 68 by Stephen Hughes (29), steered Letchworth to another success.
The IIIs slipped into trouble in Division Six with a nine-wicket defeat at West Herts II where, despite 74 from skipper Graham Bishton, they slumped to 139 all out before the home side cruised to victory.
The IV and Vs both registered wins.
The Fourths scored 175 at Fairfield Park against visitors Botany Bay III with Richard Young scoring 59, Rob Booth 32*, Simon Edwards 24 and Nathan Sprittles 23 before Gurjit Singh (5-65) and Edwards (3-27) bowled the visitors out 10 runs short.
The Fifths visited Hertingfordbury II and bowled the home side out for 172 thanks to 5-23 from under-13 bowler Harry Cruttenden and then good innings from skipper Jeremy Gillham (47*), Nicky Little (33) and Josh Booth (24) helped the Garden City to a six-wicket win.
Next week Letchworth GC host Lashings in their much-anticipated friendly match.
