County success leads good weekend for Blueharts Hockey Club

Three teams from Blueharts Hockey Club have been crowned county champions.

Blueharts' third team gained promotion with victory over Hertford. Blueharts' third team gained promotion with victory over Hertford.

The U10 boys, the U12 boys and U12 girls all came out on top to qualify for the east regional finals, where they will be joined by the U10 girls.

The U10 boys beat Hertford in the final while the U12 Boys and U12 girls both saw off St Albans in their age group.

The U10 Girls lost to Hertford in their final.

There were other successes in the club with the men’s 3rd team securing promotion from Division 4SW with a 6-0 victory over Hertford.

Ashley Hammond bagged a hat-trick, Tom Wallis two and Kyle Watson one.

And the ladies’ 4th team went goal crazy, with a 12-0 win over Milton Keynes.

Hat-tricks from junior Haly Turney and experienced striker Gina Joseph were backed up with doubles for Alice Winton and Louise Kenyon while Helen Ferguson and Debbie Thompson added a goal each.
