The future of Blueharts is looking bright with more than 150 kids from six to 16 playing in matches across Hertfordshire at the weekend.

Highlights included the U12 Girls winning all their matches, the U16 Boys with a well-deserved 6-2 victory over City of Peterborough and at U14 Girls level,

Blueharts were the only club to have three teams competing as they hosted the U8 Hertfordshire tournament at Hitchin Boys’ School, with 37 Under 8’s representing Blueharts across five teams – 14 of them making their debut.

U8s Lead Coach Nikki Baxter said “It was great to welcome more than one hundred six to eight-year-olds in 16 teams competing in seven hockey clubs at the tournament.

“The Blueharts teams all played brilliantly, there were lots of goals scored and saved. A big thanks goes to the parents and coaches, this type of event could not take place without them.”
