Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is making ‘slow progress’ in his recovery from an ankle injury according to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

The 20-year-old, from Hitchin, is recovering from a stress fracture suffered in pre-season but hopes to recover in time to feature for England at Euro 2012.

Speaking today about his midfielder’s recovery, Wenger told The BBC: “He is making slow progress, so we still monitor the situation at the moment.

“I told you the next three weeks would be decisive. Now we have two weeks in front of us and I cannot tell you more. I will not take any risk with him.”
